This project is made while preparing for a presentation on the wireless sensor network and its application. I created a prototype which demonstrates how a simple use of a smartphone and a few cheap sensors could make our Waste Management System very smart.
This was a semester break project under the guidance of our HOD sir. Using Java Swing and JDBC I developed a portal where students and faculty members can register and faculties can share internal marks of the students.
My grandfather presented me a chess board on my 3rd birthday and that's how it all started. I merely started going to school back then, perhaps I can't even write properly, and my grandfather presented me a chess board..! :D
It was my father who actually taught me how to play chess. I remember, he used to relate the then on-going Kargil War with chess! He used to teach me various strategies opted in the Kargil war battlefield vs the strategies opted in the chessboard! :D
Since then I have performed in several International and National events. I used to be among the top three chess players each year in our age groups within our state and get sponsorship for the Nationals. In Nationals I used to be among the top fifteen chess players all over the country each year in our age group.
I became district champion in 2013. I have performed in the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2015. I have won several medals at inter-university chess tournaments which includes the Silver Medal in Associations of Indian Universities’ 2014, Gold Medal in East Zone Inter Universities’ 2016, Bronze Medal in East Zone Inter Universities’ 2014.
Below I gave some of those very special memories.

I have always been deeply committed to helping others, especially the underprivileged children. I believe, children are the real backbone or you can say the real heritage of our society. My mother always used to say that the children are like the clay! You can make anything out of it as long as it is wet. But if you left it, it will get dry and hard. And once it gets hard it becomes extremely difficult to get back to its previous state. Such a remakable statement! Since then I'm always on a mission in helping others and that passion was deeply fueled when I joined St. Xavier's College, Kolkata for my graduation degree course in Computer Science. From then onwards I joined in NSS and was deeply committed to social service.
Here I had participated in debates on various Social Issues. Every weekend we used to have Sunday-Visit where we provide help to underprivileged children. We also had Social-Visit every year. I've visited a couple of those. There I used to coordinate games for rural school students. The school where we visited is a Catholic Mission St. Xavier's School, Gurap. This school is run by the society of Jesuits, Gurap (Hooghly).
Below I gave some of those precious moments.
